Custom Relation Fields allow you to handle situations that are not covered in any of the built-in types for Relation Fields but that could be handled by used of a simple subquery.
Attributes/Keys:
In your SQL, remember to include a clause to relate the record to a record in the main table. Keep in mind that DataMgr normally filters out fields that are marked as deleted via a DeletionMark field, but it won't interfere with your SQL and so you won't gain that advantage.
